Voortman is the only manufacturer of the CNC Beam Drill Line for GSS Machinery. Voortman takes care of all aspects of the CNC Beam Drill Line's installation, warranty, maintenance and repair. Voortman provides the service, but GSS Machinery can always be reached if required.

Your operator will be trained in Peddimat. You might have customers who bring a couple of pieces with them.

What is beam strength

Continuous production? Check. The fabricator's edge does not come from the ability to just handle processes, but in the time it takes to complete them and simultaneously exceed industry standards for quality. Triple axis drilling and milling leads to processing a complete profile in record time. Powered by high-speed 25 horsepower Siemens spindle motors, this strength captures industry-leading hole penetration times and each drilling axis utilizes ball screw feed positioning. With all that power under the hood this drill line wields an advanced clamping system designed specifically to bring vibrations to the bare minimum. Extreme accuracy? Check.

The CNC Beam Drill Line can not only process columns and beams, but also all steel profiles, including channel, angle and flat bars, base plates, RHS square and round.

It is no good having a CNC drilling machine if it doesn’t enable a fabricator compete at the top of the steel fabrication field. Advantage-2 allows you to process technical programmes with speed and intelligence. Each drilling axis includes three five-station tool changers. Each can drill, countersink and tap as well. Signomat underside scribers or part stamping units are also possible to be fitted to this drill-line. Part information is kept even after blasting, painting and galvanizing. Minimizing shop errors? Check. Advantage-2 drills more aggressively and produces more holes than any other line of drilling. High torque drilling axes have thicker, more aggressive cuts that extract more chips with each turn. This drill line can eat through beams as well channel, angle and tube. Advantage-2 is able to process any profile up to 44 inches wide x 18 inches tall.

The CNC Beam Drill Line can import DXF files and can use them to process 3-D shapes as long as the steel is detailed according to specific rules. Some of these rules might be different to the way you are detailing at the moment and might require some adjustment. This process is not nearly as seamless as the 3-D modeling software solutions above.

Programming the CNC Beam Drill Line is very simple and intuitive even for operators with no CNC or computer experience.

The Franklin HD145 (3) spindle-cNC drill is 44 inches wide. The HD-145 can lift beams of up to 750 lbs per feet. The high-performance spindle design allows drilling speeds of up to 2000 RPM. The rigid design of the spindle allows for very aggressive feed rates, up to 300 ft per minute. There are many material handling options available for the Franklin HD145, from 300 lbs to 750 pounds per foot.

Tempered steel Drill pipe is generally made of tempered steel. Drill pipe sections are usually between 30 and 33 feet in length. This is for cost-saving reasons as well as transport reasons.

For small buildings, the distance between two reinforced columns is between 3-4m and 6-9m. Larger facilities that require large columns and lots of free space will have to be at least 6-9m. A distance of 5m is acceptable for ordinary structures. The maximum span is 7.5, while the minimum span is 2.5m.
